Saints Eleven (Jeff Grossman, lead vocals and lead guitar, Travis Udall, bass and Alex Shepherd drums) are a Red Dirt Country Band from Dallas that expertly mixes Texas country music with a rock and blues sound. Preceded by the single “Love In Hell”, this E.P. titled “This Town”, is their new album, produced by Erik Herbst and recorded between the Panhandle House Studios in Denton, TX and Nashville. Nominated in 2019 for Country Band of the Year by the Texas Country Music Association, the Saints have behind them three other albums; “Turns To Rust”, “Fly” and “My Heart” which launched them and got them recognition and appreciation at a national level. “This Town” is divided into 6 original songs, written by lead singer and guitarist Jeff Grossman, who evidently loves country music and Southern rock equally. The Cd opens with “My Home Is”, a very Southern song, and then continues with “Love In Hell”, the single chosen to launch the album, and then the title track “This Town”, the most rock sounding song of the entire disc. The Cd continues with “The Crown”, “Let Us Be” and “A Song For Smiley”, the most country song of them all. Very good at blending the various musical souls of Texas, Saints Eleven is a band with great potential. More info at https://www.saintseleven.com/ (Gianluca Sitta)
