Rising red dirt artist Hayden Haddock has enlisted the talents of Texas country star Jon Wolfe for his new single, “Tequila.” Written by Emily Earle, Rick Huckaby and Haddock’s producer/manager Trent Willmon (Cody Johnson, Granger Smith, Little Big Town), “Tequila” will transport you to a beachfront paradise complete with a strong drink in hand. The song finds Haddock and Wolfe plotting the crazy things they could do if tequila was the culprit.

Taste of Country exclusively premiered the music video for “Tequila” before its release stating, “The two artists take to the open water for the music video for their new song, setting sail together for a fishing trip as they crack open a bottle of carefree summer fun.” Directed by Alejandro Medina, the “Tequila” music video was shot at Run N’ Gun Adventures in Bay City, TX.

“When I heard the rough cut of ‘Tequila,’ I knew it could be the perfect summer song if we did it right,” Haddock told Taste of Country of the story behind the song. “After some thought, I decided I really wanted to have my good buddy, Jon Wolfe, sing on it with me. He was the perfect fit seeing as he has his own tequila company, Juan Lobo Tequila. He’s a great guy, and his style of music definitely fits the vibe of this song.”

The release of “Tequila” is the third track to be released teeing up his EP coming later this year
