The debut goes back to 1999 with “Who Needs Pictures”. Since then he has recorded 9 albums plus a collection of Christmas classics. All albums have achieved at least the status of a certified gold record by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). 32 of his songs have reached the top ten of the famous US Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, 18 of which have reached the Number 1 position. He has sold over 13 million albums and has won 3 Grammy Awards, 14 Academy of Country Music Awards, 14 Country Music Association Awards and two American Music Awards. Needless to then mention his concerts, always sold out months in advance, both in the States and in the rest of the world (just look at the recent mini tour in England and Ireland). These are the numbers of Brad Paisley, who with this new “Moonshine In The Trunk” is going to greatly enhance his already stratospheric score. The CD is really good, 15 tracks in pure Paisley style, and compared to the last CD’s, you can notice the return to the typical country sounds that we love so much. Preceded by the single “River Bank”, which of course is heard on every radio station, “Moonshine In The Trunk” is living its best moments with “Perfect Storm”, the title track “Moonshine in The Trunk”, “4WP”, “Gone Green” teamed with Emmylou Harris (very country), the “Patriotic American Flag On The Moon” and Country Nation”. Scheduled for release on August 26, the CD also relies on the participation of Carrie Underwood (High Life) and some of the best country musicians currently in circulation. (Gianluca Sitta)
