Per la gioia dei fans esce per la Big Machine Records un nuovo album de The Cadillac Three intitolato Tabasco & Sweet Tea. Si tratta di una sorpresa perché questo è il secondo album che la band pubblica quest’anno, essendo appena uscito in Febbario Country Fuzz. “As we finished the last record, we knew we were only tapping the surface with songs like ‘The Jam’ for where we could go next musically and found ourselves inspired to dive into these sounds that we had never explored before as a band,” racconta il batterista Neil Mason. Come poi spiegano i componenti della band il disco è influenzato da tanti generi e da artisti come the Eagles, The Allman Brothers Band, James Brown e Waylon Jennings , che venivano avidamente ascoltati dai Cadillac durante il periodo delle scuole superiori. “This album” dice il cantante e chitarrista della band Jaren Johnston “is a science project – constantly moving in different directions but keeping one cohesive feel throughout. We kind of have this innate thing going after all these years so it’s was cool to kind of stretch into some new musical spaces with elements of a DJ set that flows from track to track, but mixed with 80’s funk vibes and jam-band flow over hardcore country lyrics.” Originari di Nashville TN, i TC3 sono attualmente una delle più quotate southern rock bands Americane e avrebbero dovuto partecipare al C2C di quest’anno prima che questo venisse annullato causa emergenza Covid.
